Job Description

The Clinical Operations Manager assists the Chief Medical Officer with executing the clinical vision for the organization. This position serves as the liaison between the CMO and the various departments while providing clear, concise communication and collaboration. The duties will include but are not limited to

  • Serve as a bridge between the CMO and clinical teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Assist with developing and supporting the execution of clinical protocols, policies, and procedures in line with the healthcare center's mission and federal regulations.
  • Assist in monitoring and improving quality metrics, patient outcomes, and compliance with healthcare standards, including HRSA, FTCA, and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and resolve operational challenges.
  • Manage clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making by the CMO.
  • Manage the external peer review for specialty providers and internal chart audit app for Advance Practice Providers.
  • Serve on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.
  • Help coordinate staffing, supplies, and other resources to support clinical operations effectively.
  • Provide input based on clinical experience to support decision-making and program development.
  • Assist in training new clinical staff and ensuring compliance with organizational and federal healthcare guidelines.
  • Serve as an advocate for patient care excellence by identifying and addressing clinical service gaps.
  • Represent the CMO in internal and external meetings, conferences, and community events as needed.
  • Stay updated on trends in healthcare regulations, technologies, and practices to support informed decision-making.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is required; eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR preferred.
  • Must be familiar with workflows, reporting, and data entry.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal prompting.
  • Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operations and regulatory requirements preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school required. An associate degree required. A bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field with experience will be considered.
  • Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of South Carolina.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ leadership experience is preferred.

Full-time, Monday - Friday

Location

Hybrid work location, will work some in the Hartsville and Society Hill offices when not telecommuting.
