Job Description
This position is responsible for training, assisting, and supporting providers and nurses, and may include other clinical staff, in the use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as it pertains to patient care and data collection. High-level knowledge of EHR (vendor is eClinical Works) is to be used with creative thinking and teaching skills to work with staff members and teams to identify the best application of currently available software to achieve both quality and efficiency in patient care. The position requires the ability to foster and maintain positive and close working relationships with staff in all departments, and thereby recommend system changes and enhancements to the EHR Manager and the team as well as provide ongoing updates, training, and feedback to providers/clinical staff regarding the best use of the EHR. The duties include:
- Interact with employees and patients in a respectful manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
- Work with nurses, providers, and support staff to assess and recommend clinical workflow changes and application enhancements for increased operational consistency and efficiency and the achievement of population health objectives through the use of the EHR application.
- Provide training for, but may not be limited to, new nursing staff and providers as requested by the EHR manager when hired. This requires on-site support with staff as indicated in the training plan.
- Provides training to, but may not be limited to, nursing staff, on any new updates and new workflows, as needed, and trains providers as requested by the EHR manager. This requires on-site support as indicated in the training plan.
- Monitors documentation by nursing staff, or other clinical staff, after training is completed and as needed.
- Checks, reads, and responds to emails promptly daily.
- Reads and signs off on documents and completes mandatory training in PowerDMS and Relias on time.
- Willingly performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience
- Certificate or associate degree required.
- At a minimum, a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant. An LPN or RN is also acceptable
- A minimum of two years of EHR experience; preferably as a trainer or super user

Monday-Friday, 40 Hours, Full Time
Location
Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Lee and Marlboro Counties(MUST be willing to travel to ALL CSC sites)
