What’s the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan?

The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is a new payment option in the prescription drug law that works with your current drug coverage to help you manage your out-of-pocket costs for drugs covered by your plan by spreading them across the calendar year (January–December).

Starting in 2025, anyone with a Medicare drug plan or Medicare health plan with drug coverage (like a Medicare Advantage Plan with drug coverage) can use this payment option.

All plans offer this payment option, and participation is voluntary.

This payment option might help you manage your monthly expenses, but it doesn’t save you money or lower your drug costs.

Job Description

Functioning under the clinical guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the staff nurse (LPN) participates in the assessment and care of clinic patients. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgment born of solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Thorough documentation in electronic health record at every visit.
  • Maintains a clean environment
  • Injections administered using the 7 patient administration rights
  • Timely call backs to patients
  • Assists with referrals as needed
  • Daily checking and response to email communications
  • Daily team huddles
  • Active, positive interaction with healthcare delivery team

Education and Experience

  • License to work as an LPN in the State of South Carolina
  • LPN Associate degree/diploma
  • BLS certification
  • Six to twelve months experience in a community health center or family practice setting is strongly preferred.

Location 

This is a floater position.  Will work in any/all CareSouth Carolina medical offices with locations in Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Lee, and Marlboro Counties.
