What’s the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan?

The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is a new payment option in the prescription drug law that works with your current drug coverage to help you manage your out-of-pocket costs for drugs covered by your plan by spreading them across the calendar year (January–December).

Starting in 2025, anyone with a Medicare drug plan or Medicare health plan with drug coverage (like a Medicare Advantage Plan with drug coverage) can use this payment option.

All plans offer this payment option, and participation is voluntary.

This payment option might help you manage your monthly expenses, but it doesn’t save you money or lower your drug costs.

Job Description

Functioning under the clinical guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the staff nurse participates in the assessment and care of clinic patients. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgment born of a solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Interacts with patients and employees in a respectful manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
Provides the required documentation for every visit.
Maintains a clean environment for performing patient care.
Injections will be administered using the 7 patient administration rights (right patient, right time, right medication, right route, right dose, right reason, right documentation).
Performs callbacks in a timely manner.
Assists with referrals as needed.

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree/Diploma required
Must be licensed to work as an LPN in the State of South Carolina
Must be CPR certified
Six to twelve months of experience in a community health care center or family practice setting, strongly preferred

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
