Job Description

The Pain Management Physician will be responsible for the primary care and pain management of CareSouth Carolina’s patients. As part of CareSouth’s Provider Team, the physician will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain. The physician will use effective, evidence-based pain management techniques and treatments to help our patients and improve their quality of life. The physician will focus on utilizing Buprenorphine as the treatment of choice for chronic pain, utilizing opioids sparingly and only when necessary. The physician will use a multidisciplinary team approach, research, and education to ensure they are meeting the needs of the patients while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Education and Experience

• Must hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Must be Board Certified in the field of practice
• Must hold a valid license to practice in South Carolina
• A minimum of one to three years of experience is required
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage stressful situations
