The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is a new payment option in the prescription drug law that works with your current drug coverage to help you manage your out-of-pocket costs for drugs covered by your plan by spreading them across the calendar year (January–December).
Starting in 2025, anyone with a Medicare drug plan or Medicare health plan with drug coverage (like a Medicare Advantage Plan with drug coverage) can use this payment option.
All plans offer this payment option, and participation is voluntary.
This payment option might help you manage your monthly expenses, but it doesn’t save you money or lower your drug costs.
Questions: Before signing up, please contact the Hartsville pharmacy staff at 843-339-5530 to speak with someone directly.
No doubt you have been starting to hear about the new Health Insurance Marketplace, a key part of the health care law that will be open for business on October1. But you probably still have questions.
CareSouth Carolina is a certified Marketplace designated organization offering free assistance educating the community and helping them complete an application for coverage. CareSouth Carolina has four certified counselors to help you navigate through the web based health insurance site, www.healthcare.gov.
The Marketplace is a new way to find health coverage that fits your budget and meets your needs. With one application, you can see all your options and enroll. Every health insurance plan in the new Marketplace will offer essential health benefits, including doctor visits, preventative care, hospitalization, prescriptions, and more. The Marketplace can compare plans based on price, benefits, quality, and other features important to you before you make a choice.
