What’s the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan?

The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is a new payment option in the prescription drug law that works with your current drug coverage to help you manage your out-of-pocket costs for drugs covered by your plan by spreading them across the calendar year (January–December).

Starting in 2025, anyone with a Medicare drug plan or Medicare health plan with drug coverage (like a Medicare Advantage Plan with drug coverage) can use this payment option.

All plans offer this payment option, and participation is voluntary.

This payment option might help you manage your monthly expenses, but it doesn’t save you money or lower your drug costs.

Meet Our Providers

Hartsville Pediatrics is proud to have a team of highly qualified and caring pediatric providers:

  • Heather Worsham, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, PMHS: Heather brings her extensive expertise in pediatric primary care and mental health to the team, providing holistic care to our young patients.
  • Zita Andreski, FNP-C: With two years at CareSouth Carolina, Zita is passionate about pediatric care. "It’s been a good learning experience. I’m very passionate about knowing our patients and doing my best to help them navigate. Making sure they are vaccinated, eating right, and living healthy lifestyles," says Zita. "That’s the cornerstone of building a healthy lifestyle. We want to be proactive as far as illnesses with vaccines."

Zita Andreski, FNP-C, emphasizes the importance of communication and personalized care: "First thing, I would really make sure to talk to the patient and their parent. Let them voice their concerns. I want to let them talk about what’s going on and get all this information so we can understand better what’s going on."

Quanisha Coe, the Medical Office Administrator (MOA) of Pediatrics, has been with CareSouth Carolina since April. Quanisha shares her experience: "We see children all day, so you have to be very hands-on. We pretty much check insurance, make sure our kids are good to go. We take newborns, see all children. For the first visit, we always try to make sure they come back. We always make sure to answer their questions, make them comfortable. I keep a movie playing on the TV. I get to know my children, know what they like, and try to keep them as comfortable as possible. The staff here is amazing. It’s a place where you will be happy to be."

Commitment to Pediatric Care

Taking care of children is a vital part of CareSouth Carolina, and our services include care for both sick and well infants, adolescents, and teens. As a healthcare home, we understand the importance of keeping children well through routine check-ups and preventive care. Our youngest patients receive the full benefit of exceptional medicine, and we offer a comprehensive well-child immunization program.

Zita Andreski, FNP-C, further highlights her dedication to pediatric care: "It’s the population that I’ve worked with all my life. Those are my babies. I first started as a nursery nurse. That’s the population that I love. I love working with kids, really love seeing them grow and hope that I can help families to really optimize their levels and goals for staying healthy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It takes a group effort, and together we can guide them into achieving those goals."
