CareSouth Carolina Hosting an Open Enrollment Kickoff Event

 

Representatives from CareSouth Carolina will be on hand at the Bennettsville Center, located at 999 Cheraw St. in Bennettsville on Saturday, November 12, 2022, to help those who don’t have insurance or need help getting coverage.

The Open Enrollment Kickoff Event will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes.

“Having access to health insurance should be a fundamental right for all individuals and families,” said CareSouth Carolina Director of Community Health Marek Calhoun. “So we are here to do our part to provide individuals and families an opportunity to get enrolled in an insurance plan – whether that’s through Marketplace Insurance, Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). We want to give folks peace of mind knowing if they have to go to the doctor or hospital they are covered.”

Calhoun encourages residents to “come on out and speak with one our Navigators and Counselors to see what insurance or plan they can qualify for and what works for them and their families.”

“Even if you are not sure,” he added, “come on out and let us answer any questions you may have and submit an application.”

Please be prepared to provide the following information for those applying: full names (as they appear on government documents or ID, date of birth, Social Security Number and/or immigration documents, monthly income, contact number and accessible email address.
