CareSouth Carolina Leaders Present at SCPHCA Annual Conference
Hilton Head, SC — CareSouth Carolina’s CEO, Ann Lewis, and Associate Medical Director, Jeri Andrews, FNP, took the stage at the South Carolina Primary Health Care Association (SCPHCA) Annual Conference and Board Governance this past weekend, presenting on innovative approaches to expanding healthcare access.
Jeri Andrews presented Mobile Health on the Move: Building Sustainable Success for Health Center Mobile Programs, focusing on the impact of CareSouth Carolina’s school-based mobile health initiative. She discussed the importance of building strong community partnerships with local school districts and the role of cross-training staff to maintain program sustainability.
“Our mobile health program offers vital care to children who otherwise lack access to healthcare services,” said Andrews. “By partnering with schools and integrating Telehealth, we’ve expanded access and improved continuity of care.”
CareSouth Carolina’s mobile health services reach five school districts, including charter schools and juvenile justice facilities, ensuring children in underserved areas receive the medical attention they need. Telehealth has played a crucial role in the program’s growth, providing follow-up care and referrals to students who may have limited options for in-person visits.
Ann Lewis, who serves as CareSouth Carolina’s CEO and Chairperson of the South Carolina Primary Health Care Association (SCPHCA), presided over the event.
The SCPHCA Annual Conference brought together leaders in community health to share strategies and insights, with CareSouth Carolina’s participation demonstrating its continued leadership in mobile health initiatives across the region.
