Cheraw Groundbreaking Ceremony held

CareSouth Carolina staff and community leaders gathered at noon Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, to celebrate a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming location at 812 State Road, Cheraw, S.C. CareSouth CMO Dr. Stephen Smith opened the program, and Bishop Jerry Hardison of Emmanuel Temple Church of Deliverance gave the invocation. Speakers included Cheraw Mayor Andy Ingram, Rep. Richie Yow and Rep. Patricia Henegan. The proposed opening date for the site is December 2023, and will replace the current location - 715 Doctors Drive, Suite E.

"Although CareSouth Carolina has had groundbreakings for three other new buildings over the past several years, this groundbreaking is especially exciting," said CareSouth Carolina CEO Ann Lewis. "The location is great and having this new building will solve the significant overcrowding problems in our current location. We look forward to expanding services and introducing new ones."
