What’s the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan?
The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is a new payment option in the prescription drug law that works with your current drug coverage to help you manage your out-of-pocket costs for drugs covered by your plan by spreading them across the calendar year (January–December).
Starting in 2025, anyone with a Medicare drug plan or Medicare health plan with drug coverage (like a Medicare Advantage Plan with drug coverage) can use this payment option.
All plans offer this payment option, and participation is voluntary.
This payment option might help you manage your monthly expenses, but it doesn’t save you money or lower your drug costs.

CSC Chesterfield site hosting blood drive on Monday, Aug. 16
CareSouth Carolina’s Chesterfield center, located at 204 Perry Wiley Way, will host a blood drive on Monday, August 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Those interested in donating blood for The American Red Cross blood drive can visit RedCrossBlood.org using code ‘CareSouth Carolina’ or call 843-623-5080 to make an appointment.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
