“I love being able to have a direct impact on individuals' lives while providing care and support,” she said.
CareSouth Carolina has been a beacon of hope for students in the Pee Dee region since the inception of its school-based care program in 2015. Recognizing the significant gap in access to healthcare for students in rural areas, CareSouth Carolina has made it its mission to bring essential health services directly to the schools. The program, which started with the Chesterfield County School District, has since expanded to serve Lee, Dillon, Marlboro, and Darlington Counties, reaching thousands of students annually.
Each year, CareSouth Carolina’s mobile units visit six school districts in the Pee Dee, providing annual wellness visits and screenings to students who might otherwise go without crucial healthcare services. This initiative ensures that children receive the medical attention they need to thrive both academically and personally.
Outside of her professional life, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and experiencing different foods. Her well-rounded interests and compassionate nature make her an invaluable addition to the CareSouth Carolina team.
