The CareFirst Carolina Foundation, in partnership with CareSouth Carolina (CSC) and Francis Marion University (FMU), hosted a fundraising event January 12, that raised $15,000. That money will go toward providing two $1,000 scholarships to students earning a bachelor of science in nursing degree annually, and one full tuition scholarship, approximately $38,000, will be given to a student enrolled in the master of science in nursing-family nurse practitioner program at the University.

On hand to receive the award were ROADS Telehealth Provider Staci Cassidy and Associate Medical Director Jeri Andrews. The award was presented by S.C. Lt. Governor Pamela Evette (right). CareSouth Carolina was nominated for the award for our expansion of school based telehealth services.
